About Me
Why do I write?
Because it keeps me sane.
I mean there’s a thousand other reasons, but at my core, writing is part of what keeps me getting up every day. There’s catharsis in putting pen to page, or hand to keyboard. I’ve struggled with mental health my whole life, but it was only in the past few years that I was able to actually do something about. And that shift took my writing from being about keeping me sane and alive, to being a true form of expression.
I have grown so much in and built up my confidence to the point that I’m here today; looking to actually publish my work. That doesn’t mean it’s been smooth sailing. I’ve made mistakes and done things I regret, but I have to hold myself to a higher standard now. I want to keep improving and keep growing.
The story continues...
For as long as I can remember, reading and writing has been an important part of my life. My bedtime stories as a child was Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, or Where the Red Fern Grows and Old Yeller. I had read the entire Little House series by I think 4th grade, and was fascinated with Isaac Asimov’s work. I ended up loving the Horror genre and for a long time had a collection of B-rate Zombie flicks.
I have always had a fascination with death and horror, and cosmology as a whole. Thus, leading me to writing JUDGMENT my debut Sci-Fi novel that I’m currently in the process of editing and planning for publication. I don’t know if I will Query this project, or move straight to a self-publishing route. Either way, I am excited to share my world of alternate-universe particle physics, post-Earth human society and life in the Age of Scorpio.
