About Me
Why do I write?
Because it keeps me sane.
I mean there’s a thousand other reasons, but at my core, writing is part of what keeps me getting up every day. There’s catharsis in putting pen to page, or hand to keyboard. I’ve struggled with mental health my whole life, but it was only in the past few years that I was able to actually do something about. And that shift took my writing from being about keeping me sane and alive, to being a true form of expression.
I have grown so much in and built up my confidence to the point that I’m here today; looking to actually publish my work. That doesn’t mean it’s been smooth sailing. I’ve made mistakes and done things I regret, but I have to hold myself to a higher standard now. I want to keep improving and keep growing.
I consider myself a Philosophical Physicist. I’m currently pursuing a
History degree with a focus on Holocaust history, but had to put my
academics on pause due to chronic illness. The intersection between
science and magic have always fascinated me, and I like exploring that
in fiction. The places where physics becomes philosophy, and history
becomes fortune telling.
The story continues...
My name is Percivale J Anthony. Percy for short, PJs for sleep. I’ve had a close relationship with stories for as long as I can remember. My bedtime stories growing up were everything from The Lord of the Rings and Where the Red Fern Grows, to Ol’ Yeller among others. I would read the Little House series while spending overnights in hospitals with my family, waiting for news on my grandmother, who’d secretly watch horror movies with me when my parents weren’t around.
I’ve always had a fascination with death and horror, though as I grew older, I also developed an interest in cosmology. This combo led me to writing JUDGMENT, my debut Sci-Fi novel which is currently in the process of being edited. I’m excited to share my world of alternate-universe particle physics, post-Earth human society and life in the Age of Scorpio, and I hope you enjoy licorice-flavored novels as much as I do.
